In a number of contexts the meanings in Subdomain source subdomain 031004 imply not only the processes of intellectual recognition, but in some instances the evidence of this recognition by some type of communication. The focal element seems to be the mental recognition, but since in some contexts the verbalization or other means of communication may be important, it may be useful to make this explicit, for example, ‘to recognize the truth of and to say so.’ In such contexts the meanings in this subdomain overlap with the domain of source subdomain 033.
