Greek semantic domain
Reconciliation, Forgiveness
Domain source subdomain 040 contains meanings which are generally the converse of meanings found in Domain source subdomain 039. Meanings involving reconciliation have a presuppositional component of opposition and hostility, and it is the process of reconciliation which reverses this presuppositional factor. For meanings involving forgiveness, there is also a presuppositional component of opposition or antagonism which is presumably eliminated by the process of forgiveness.
