Parts of the Body
Though the terms for certain body parts, namely, καρδία ‘heart’, νεφρός ‘kidney,’ βραχίων ‘arm,’ ὀφρῦς ‘brow,’ and χρῖός ‘lip,’ occurs in the NT, they do so only in figurative senses, and hence these meanings are treated under the various domains to which they belong.
