τέκτων, τέκτονος, ὁ (τεκεῖν, τίκτω; akin to τέχνη, τεύχω, hence, properly, ’begetter’ (Curtius, § 235)), from Homer down, the Sept. for çÈøÈùÑ; a worker in wood, a carpenter: Mat 13:53; Mar 6:3 (see WH’s Appendix on the latter passage).
