a. to hasten, make haste: followed by an infinitive (cf. σπεύδω, 1), 2Ti 4:9; 2Ti 4:21; Tit 3:12 (others refer these examples to b.; but cf. Holtzmann’s Commentary on 2Ti 2:15).
