ῤιζόω, ῥίζω: perfect passive participle ἐρριζωμενος (see Rho); (ῤίζα); from Homer down; to cause to strike root, to strengthen with roots; as often in classical writings (see Passow, under the word, 3; (Liddell and Scott, under I.)), tropically, to render firm, to fix, establish, cause a person or a thing to be thoroughly grounded: passive ἐρριζωμενος (Vulg.radicatus) ἐν ἀγάπη, Eph 3:17(18) (not WH); ἐν Χριστῷ, in communion with Christ, Col 2:7. (Compare: ἐκριζόω.)
