1. abundance: τῆς χάριτος, Rom 5:17; τῆς χαρᾶς, 2Co 8:2; εἰς περισσείαν, adverbially, superabundantly, superfluously, (A. V. out of measure), 2Co 10:15 (Boeckh, Corpus inscriptions i., p. 668, no. 1378, 6; Byzantine writings).

2. superiority; preference, preeminence: éåúÅø, Ecc 6:8; for éÄúÀøåï, Ecc 2:13; Ecc 10:10.
