1. sharp (from Homer down): ῤομφαία, δρέπανον, Rev 1:16; Rev 2:12; Rev 14:14; Rev 14:17; Rev 19:15 (Isa 5:28; Psa 56:1-13 ()).
2. swift, quick (so from Herodotus 5, 9 down; cf. ὠκύς fleet): Rom 3:15 (Amo 2:15; Pro 22:29).
