1. to take up, raise: εἰς τόν οὐρανόν, Mar 16:19; Act 1:11; Act 10:16 (the Sept. 2Ki 2:11); without case, Act 1:2; Act 1:22; 1Ti 3:16 (cf. Winer’s Grammar, 413 (385)) (Sir 48:9).
