1. to fall asleep, to drop off to sleep: Mat 25:5.
2. to sleep;
a. properly: Mat 8:24; Mat 9:24 (on this and its parallels, cf. B. D. American edition, p. 1198{a}); ; Mar 4:27; Mar 4:38; Mar 5:39; Mar 13:36; Mar 14:37; Mar 14:40; Luk 8:52; Luk 22:46; 1Th 5:7.
