Matthew 4:4

KJV: But he answered and said It is written Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God

GK: ο δε αποκριθείς είπε γέγραπται ουκ επ΄ άρτω μόνω ζήσεται άνθρωπος αλλ΄ επί παντί ρήματι εκπορευομένω διά στόματος θεού

Matthew 5:15

KJV: Neither light a candle and put it under a bushel but on a candlestick and it giveth light unto all that are in the house

GK: ουδέ καίουσι λύχνον και τιθέασιν αυτόν υπό τον μόδιον αλλ΄ επί την λυχνίαν και λάμπει πάσι τοις εν τη οικία

Matthew 5:17

KJV: Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets I am not come to destroy but to fulfil

GK: μη νομίσητε ότι ήλθον καταλύσαι τον νόμον η τους προφήτας ουκ ήλθον καταλύσαι αλλά πληρώσαι

Matthew 5:39

KJV: But I say unto you That ye resist not evil but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek turn to him the other also

GK: εγώ δε λέγω υμίν μη αντιστήναι τω πονηρώ αλλ΄ όστις σε ραπίσει επί την δεξιάν σου σιαγόνα στρέψον αυτώ και την άλλην

Matthew 6:13

KJV: And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever Amen

GK: και μη εσενέγκης ημάς εις πειρασμόν αλλά ρύσαι ημάς από του πονηρού ότι σου εστιν η βασιλεία και η δύναμις και η δόξα εις τους αιώνας αμήν

Matthew 6:18

KJV: That thou appear not unto men to fast but unto thy Father which is in secret and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly

GK: όπως μη φανής τοις ανθρώποις νηστεύων αλλά τω πατρί σου τω εν τω κρυπτώ και ο πατήρ σου ο βλέπων εν τω κρυπτώ αποδώσει σοι εν τω φανερώ

Matthew 7:21

KJV: Not every one that saith unto me Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven

Matthew 8:4

KJV: And Jesus saith unto him See thou tell no man but go thy way shew thyself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded for a testimony unto them

GK: και λέγει αυτώ ο Ιησούς όρα μηδενί είπης αλλ΄ ύπαγε σεαυτόν δείξον τω ιερεί και προσένεγκε το δώρον ο προσέταξε Μωσής εις μαρτύριον αυτοίς

Matthew 8:8

KJV: The centurion answered and said Lord I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof but speak the word only and my servant shall be healed

GK: και αποκριθείς ο εκατόνταρχος έφη κύριε ουκ ειμί ικανός ίνα μου υπό την στέγην εισέλθης αλλά μόνον ειπέ λόγον και ιαθήσεται ο παις μου

Matthew 9:12

KJV: But when Jesus heard he said unto them They that be whole need not a physician but they that are sick

GK: ο δε Ιησούς ακούσας είπεν αυτοίς ου χρείαν έχουσιν οι ισχύοντες ιατρού αλλ΄ οι κακώς έχοντες

Matthew 9:13

KJV: But go ye and learn what meaneth I will have mercy and not sacrifice for I am not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance

GK: πορευθέντες δε μάθετε τι εστιν έλεον θέλω και ου θυσίαν ου γαρ ήλθον καλέσαι δικαίους αλλά αμαρτωλούς εις μετάνοιαν

Matthew 9:17

KJV: Neither do men put new wine into old bottles else the bottles break and the wine runneth out and the bottles perish but they put new wine into new bottles and both are preserved

GK: ουδέ βάλλουσιν οίνον νέον εις ασκούς παλαιούς ει ρήγνυνται οι ασκοί και ο οίνος εκχείται και οι ασκοί απολούνται αλλά βάλλουσιν οίνον νέον εις ασκούς καινούς και αμφότερα συντηρούνται

Matthew 9:18

KJV: While he spake these things unto them behold there came a certain ruler and worshipped him saying My daughter is even now dead but come and lay thy hand upon her and she shall live

GK: ταύτα αυτού λαλούντος αυτοίς ιδού άρχων εις ελθών προσεκύνει αυτώ λέγων ότι η θυγάτηρ μου άρτι ετελεύτησεν αλλά ελθών επίθες την χείρά σου επ΄ αυτήν και ζήσεται

Matthew 9:24

KJV: He said unto them Give place for the maid is not dead but sleepeth And they laughed him to scorn

KJV: But what went ye out for to see A man clothed in soft raiment behold they that wear soft are in kings’ houses

GK: αλλά τι εξήλθετε ιδείν άνθρωπον εν μαλακοίς ιματίοις ημφιεσμένον ιδού οι τα μαλακά φορούντες εν τοις οίκοις των βασιλείων εισίν

KJV: But what went ye out for to see A prophet yea I say unto you and more than a prophet

KJV: Yet hath he not root in himself but dureth for a while for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word by and by he is offended

KJV: Then understood they how that he bade not beware of the leaven of bread but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees

KJV: And Jesus answered and said unto him Blessed art thou Simon Bar-jona for flesh and blood hath not revealed unto thee but my Father which is in heaven

KJV: But he turned and said unto Peter Get thee behind me Satan thou art an offence unto me for thou savourest not the things that be of God but those that be of men

KJV: But I say unto you That Elias is come already and they knew him not but have done unto him whatsoever they listed Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them

KJV: And he saith unto them Ye shall drink indeed of my cup and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with but to sit on my right hand and on my left is not mine to give but for whom it is prepared of my Father

GK: και λέγει αυτοίς το μεν ποτήριόν μου πίεσθε και το βάπτισμα ο εγώ βαπτίζομαι βαπτισθήσεσθε το δε καθίσαι εκ δεξιών μου και εξ ευωνύμων μου ουκ έστιν εμόν δούναι αλλ΄ οις ητοίμασται υπο του πατρός μου

Matthew 20:26

KJV: But it shall not be so among you but whosoever will be great among you let him be your minister

GK: ουχ ούτως δε έσται εν υμίν αλλ΄ ος εάν θέλη εν υμίν μέγας γενέσθαι έσται υμών διάκονος
