θνητός, θνητῇ, θνητόν (verbal adjective from θνῄσκω) (from Homer down), liable to death, mortal: Rom 6:12; Rom 8:11; 1Co 15:53; 2Co 4:11; 2Co 5:4. (θνητός subject to death, and so still living; νεκρός actually dead.)
