ἑπτά, οἱ, αἱ, τά, seven: Mat 12:45; Mat 15:34; Mar 8:5; Luk 2:36; Act 6:3, etc.; often in the Apocalypse; οἱ ἑπτά, namely, διάκονοι, Act 21:8. In Mat 18:22 it is joined (instead of ἑπτάκις) to the numeral adv. ἑβδομηκοντάκις, in imitation of the Hebrew ùÆÑáÇò , Psalm 118:164 (); Pro 24:16; (see ἑβδομηκοντάκις, and cf. Keil, Commentary on Matthew, the passage cited).
