αἰχμαλωσία, (ας, ἡ (αἰχμάλωτος, which see), captivity: Rev 13:10; abstr, for concr, equivalent to αἰχμάλωτοι (cf. ἀδελφότης above), Eph 4:8 (from Psalm 67:19 () (cf. Buttmann, 148 (129); Winer’s Grammar, 225 (211)); also εἰ τίς αἰχμαλωσίαν συνάγει (according to the common but doubtless corrupt text), Rev 13:10 (as in Num 31:12, etc.).
