ἀγαθοποιέω, (; 1 aorist infinitive ἀγαθοποιῆσαι; (from ἀγαθοποιός);

1. to do good, do something which profits others: Mar 3:4 (Tdf. ἀγαθόν ποιῆσαι; Luk 6:9); to show oneself beneficent, Act 14:17 Rec.; τινα, to do some one a favor, to benefit, Luk 6:33; Luk 6:35, (equivalent to äÇéèÄéá, Zep 1:12; Num 10:32; Tob 12:13, etc.).

2. to do well, do right: 1Pe 2:15; 1Pe 2:20 (opposed to ἁμαρτάνω); ; 3Jn 1:11. (Not found in secular authors, except in a few of the later in an astrological sense, to furnish a good omen.)
