Matthew 1:22

KJV: Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet saying

GK: τούτο δε όλον γέγονεν ίνα πληρωθή το ρηθέν υπό του κυρίου διά του προφήτου λέγοντος

Matthew 2:5

KJV: And they said unto him In Bethlehem of Judaea for thus it is written by the prophet

GK: οι δε είπον αυτώ εν Βηθλεέμ της Ιουδαίας ούτως γαρ γέγραπται διά του προφήτου

Matthew 2:12

KJV: And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod they departed into their own country another way

GK: και χρηματισθέντες κατ΄ όναρ μη ανακάμψαι προς Ηρώδην δι΄ άλλης οδού ανεχώρησαν εις την χώραν αυτών

Matthew 2:15

KJV: And was there until the death of Herod that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet saying Out of Egypt have I called my son

GK: και ην εκεί έως της τελευτής Ηρώδου ίνα πληρωθή το ρηθέν υπό του κυρίου διά του προφήτου λέγοντος εξ Αιγύπτου εκάλεσα τον υιόν μου

Matthew 2:23

KJV: And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets He shall be called a Nazarene

GK: και ελθών κατώκησεν εις πόλιν λεγομένην Ναζαρέθ όπως πληρωθή το ρηθέν διά των προφητών ότι Ναζωραίος κληθήσεται

Matthew 4:4

KJV: But he answered and said It is written Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God

GK: ο δε αποκριθείς είπε γέγραπται ουκ επ΄ άρτω μόνω ζήσεται άνθρωπος αλλ΄ επί παντί ρήματι εκπορευομένω διά στόματος θεού

Matthew 4:14

KJV: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet saying

GK: ίνα πληρωθή το ρηθέν διά Ησαϊου του προφήτου λέγοντος

Matthew 6:25

KJV: Therefore I say unto you Take no thought for your life what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink nor yet for your body what ye shall put on Is not the life more than meat and the body than raiment

GK: διά τούτο λέγω υμίν μη μεριμνάτε τη ψυχή υμών τι φάγητε και τι πίητε μηδέ τω σώματι υμών τι ενδύσησθε ουχί η ψυχή πλείόν εστι της τροφής και το σώμα του ενδύματος

Matthew 7:13

KJV: Enter ye in at the strait gate for wide the gate and broad the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat

GK: εισέλθετε διά της στενής πύλης ότι πλατεία η πύλη και ευρύχωρος η οδός η απάγουσα εις την απώλειαν και πολλοί εισιν οι εισερχόμενοι δι΄ αυτής

Matthew 8:17

KJV: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet saying Himself took our infirmities and bare sicknesses

GK: όπως πληρωθή το ρηθέν διά Ησαϊου του προφήτου λέγοντος αυτός τας ασθενείας ημών έλαβε και τας νόσους εβάστασεν

Matthew 8:28

KJV: And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes there met him two possessed with devils coming out of the tombs exceeding fierce so that no man might pass by that way

GK: και ελθόντι αυτώ εις το πέραν εις την χώραν των Γεργεσηνών υπήντησαν αυτώ δύο δαιμονιζόμενοι εκ των μνημείων εξερχόμενοι χαλεποί λίαν ώστε μη ισχύειν τινά παρελθείν διά της οδού εκείνης

Matthew 10:22

KJV: And ye shall be hated of all for my name’s sake but he that endureth to the end shall be saved

GK: και έσεσθε μισούμενοι υπό πάντων διά το όνομά μου ο δε υπομείνας εις τέλος ούτος σωθήσεται

Matthew 12:1

KJV: At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn and his disciples were an hungred and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat

GK: εν εκείνω τω καιρώ επορεύθη ο Ιησούς τοις σάββασι διά των σπορίμων οι δε μαθηταί αυτού επείνασαν και ήρξαντο τίλλειν στάχυας και εσθίειν

Matthew 12:17

KJV: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet saying

GK: όπως πληρωθή το ρηθέν διά Ησαϊου του προφήτου λέγοντος

Matthew 12:27

KJV: And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils by whom do your children cast out therefore they shall be your judges

GK: και ει εγώ εν Βεελζεβούλ εκβάλλω τα δαιμόνια οι υιοί υμών εν τίνι εκβάλλουσι διά τούτο αυτοί υμών έσονται κριταί

Matthew 12:31

KJV: Wherefore I say unto you All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men but blasphemy the Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men

GK: διά τούτο λέγω υμίν πάσα αμαρτία και βλασφημία αφεθήσεται τοις ανθρώποις η του πνεύματος βλασφημία ουκ αφεθήσεται τοις ανθρώποις

Matthew 12:43

KJV: When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man he walketh through dry places seeking rest and findeth none

GK: όταν δε το ακάθαρτον πνεύμα εξέλθη από του ανθρώπου διέρχεται δι΄ ανύδρων τόπων ζητούν ανάπαυσιν και ουχ ευρίσκει

Matthew 13:5

KJV: Some fell upon stony places where they had not much earth and forthwith they sprung up because they had no deepness of earth

GK: αλλά δε έπεσεν επί τα πετρώδη όπου ουκ είχε γην πολλήν και ευθέως εξανέτειλε διά το μη έχειν βάθος γης

Matthew 13:6

KJV: And when the sun was up they were scorched and because they had no root they withered away

GK: ηλίου δε ανατείλαντος εκαυματίσθη και διά το μη εχείν ρίζαν εξηράνθη

Matthew 13:13

KJV: Therefore speak I to them in parables because they seeing see not and hearing they hear not neither do they understand

GK: διά τούτο εν παραβολαίς αυτοίς λαλώ ότι βλέποντες ου βλέπουσιν και ακούοντες ουκ ακούουσιν ουδέ συνιούσιν

Matthew 13:21

KJV: Yet hath he not root in himself but dureth for a while for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word by and by he is offended

GK: ουκ έχει δε ρίζαν εν εαυτώ αλλά πρόσκαιρός εστι γενομένης δε θλίψεως η διωγμού διά τον λόγον ευθύς σκανδαλίζεται

Matthew 13:35

KJV: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet saying I will open my mouth in parables I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world

GK: όπως πληρωθή το ρηθέν διά του προφήτου λέγοντος ανοίξω εν παραβολαίς το στόμα μου ερεύξομαι κεκρυμμένα από καταβολής κόσμου

Matthew 13:52

KJV: Then said he unto them Therefore every scribe instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man an householder which bringeth forth out of his treasure new and old

GK: ο δε είπεν αυτοίς διά τούτο πας γραμματεύς μαθητευθείς εις την βασιλείαν των ουρανών όμοιός εστιν ανθρώπω οικοδεσπότη όστις εκβάλλει εκ του θησαυρού αυτού καινά και παλαιά

Matthew 13:58

KJV: And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief

GK: και ουκ εποίησεν εκεί δυνάμεις πολλάς διά την απιστίαν αυτών

Matthew 14:2

KJV: And said unto his servants This is John the Baptist he is risen from the dead and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him

GK: και είπε τοις παισίν αυτού ούτός εστιν Ιωάννης ο βαπτιστής αυτός ηγέρθη από των νεκρών και διά τούτο αι δυνάμεις ενεργούσιν εν αυτώ

Matthew 14:3

KJV: For Herod had laid hold on John and bound him and put in prison for Herodias’ sake his brother Philip’s wife

GK: ο γαρ Ηρώδης κρατήσας τον Ιωάννην έδησεν αυτόν και έθετο εν φυλακή διά Ηρωδιάδα την γυναίκα Φιλίππου του αδελφού αυτού

Matthew 14:9

KJV: And the king was sorry nevertheless for the oath’s sake and them which sat with him at meat he commanded to be given

GK: και ελυπήθη ο βασιλεύς διά δε τους όρκους και τους συνανακειμένους εκέλευσεν δοθήναι

Matthew 15:3

KJV: But he answered and said unto them Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition

GK: ο δε αποκριθείς είπεν αυτοίς διατί και υμείς παραβαίνετε την εντολήν του θεού διά την παράδοσιν υμών

Matthew 15:6

KJV: And honour not his father or his mother Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition

GK: και ου τιμήση τον πατέρα αυτού η την μητέρα αυτού και ηκυρώσατε την εντολήν του θεού διά την παράδοσιν υμών

Matthew 17:20

KJV: And Jesus said unto them Because of your unbelief for verily I say unto you If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed ye shall say unto this mountain Remove hence to yonder place and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible unto you

GK: ο δε Ιησούς είπεν αυτοίς διά την απιστίαν υμών αμήν γαρ λέγω υμίν εάν έχητε πίστιν ως κόκκον σινάπεως ερείτε τω όρει τούτω μετάβηθι εντεύθεν εκεί και μεταβήσεται και ουδέν αδυνατήσει υμίν
