1. request, petition, Judg 8:24; 1Kgs 2:16; 1Kgs 2:20 (both accusative of cognate meaning with verb with שָׁאַל), Esth 5:6; Esth 5:7 (with נָתַן = grant), Esth 7:2; Esth 7:3; Esth 9:12. This passes easily into
