1. covering, large cloth spread (פרשׂ) over well to hide persons within 2Sam 17:19 figurative of protection, or of eye-screen, יְהוּדָה ׳ וַיְגַל אֶתמֿ Isa 22:8 screen, of cloud Ps 105:39 (פרשׂ).
2. name given (in P ) to each of three screens, of tabernacle:
a. at gate ( שַׁעַר) of court Exod 27:16; Exod 35:17; Exod 38:18; Exod 39:40; Exod 40:8; Exod 40:33; Num 3:26 (פֶּתַח ), Num 4:26 .
