i. תַּחַת יַד under the hand = in the possession, at the disposal of; ׳ וְאִין יֶשׁפֹּֿה תַֿחַתיָָֽֿדְךָ חֲנִית וגו 1Sam 21:9 = in the power of, subject to Isa 3:6 come, thou shalt be our ruler and this ruin under thy hand; plural followed by verb, וְהִתְעַנִּי תַּחַת יָדֶיהָ Gen 16:9 ( J ) and submit thyself under her hands, her authority, Isa 3:6. — מִתַּחַת יַד see g.
