βασίλειος (rarely βασιλεία), βασίλειον, royal, kingly, regal: 1Pe 2:9. As a substantive, τό βασίλειον (Xenophon, Cyril 2, 4, 3; Pro 18:19, the Sept.; Josephus, Antiquities 6, 12, 4), and much more often (from Herodotus 1, 30 down) in plural τά βασιλεία (the Sept. Est 1:9, etc.), the royal palace: Luk 7:25 (A. V. "kings courts).
