ὑπερηφανία, ὑπερηφανίας, ἡ (ὑπερήφανος, which see), pride, haughtiness, arrogance, the characteristic of one who, with a swollen estimate of his own powers or merits, looks down on others and even treats them with insolence and contempt: Mar 7:22.
