a. properly, wealthy, abounding in material resources: Mat 27:57; Luk 12:16; Luk 14:12; Luk 16:1; Luk 16:19; Luk 18:23; Luk 19:2; ὁ πλούσιος, substantively, Luk 16:21-22; Jas 1:10-11; οἱ πλούσιοι, Luk 6:24; Luk 21:1; 1Ti 6:17; Jas 2:6; Jas 5:1; Rev 6:15; Rev 13:16; πλούσιος, without the article, a rich man, Mat 19:23-24; Mar 10:25; Mar 12:41; Luk 18:25.
