πλήρης, πλῆρες (ΠΛΑΩ), from Aeschylus and Herodotus down, the Sept. chiefly for îÈìÅà;
a. full, i. e. filled up (as opposed to empty): of hollow vessels, Mat 14:20; Mat 15:37; Mar 6:43 (R G L); with a genitive of the thing, Mar 8:19; of a surface, covered in every part: λέπρας, Luk 5:12; of the soul, thoroughly permeated with: πνεύματος ἁγίου, Luk 4:1; Act 6:3; Act 7:55; Act 11:24; πίστεως, Act 6:5; χάριτος, Act 6:8 (Rec. πίστεως); χάριτος καί ἀληθείας, Joh 1:14; δόλου, Act 13:10 (Jer 5:27); θυμοῦ, Act 19:28; abounding in, ἔργων ἀγαθῶν, Act 9:36.
