ObserveRead several times. Underline repeated words, box connectors, circle subjects/verbs, and mark commands, warnings, promises, contrasts, and questions.
Outline and chartWrite the unit theme, main ideas with verse ranges, then chart observation, interpretation, and application notes.
InterpretAsk authorial-intent questions: what did the author say, mean, expect, and contribute to the book?
CorrelateUse cross-references in order, check grammar and genre, and apply hermeneutical safeguards.
ApplyThen-and-there response, timeless principle, now action. Application must follow the passage logic.

- Outline: one theme sentence and main ideas in passage order.
