Do not turn this passage into a generic program for social reform detached from repentance, worship, and covenant obedience. Also do not collapse Israel's Sabbath and land promises into the church without qualification. The passage certainly teaches enduring moral truth, but its specific promises belong to Israel within the Mosaic covenant and the restoration setting. Its concern is not ritual abolition but ritual purified by justice and holiness.
