He lays his hands on each one and heals them. Demons also come out of many, calling Jesus the Son of God, but he rebukes them and does not allow them to speak.\n\nThe crowds want Jesus to stay, but he refuses to let local desire control his work. He says that he must preach the good news of the kingdom of God in other towns too, because that is why he was sent. The miracles are real signs of his authority, but preaching the kingdom is the center of his mission. Verse 44 has a textual and geographical difficulty, so the commentary should not build a strong claim on the exact place name there.",
